Employment and Workplace

I frequently assist with all matter of workplace disputes including the most complicated employee dismissals. While the parties may not be keen to resolve at first, I explain to both the costs and time involved in prolonged litigation, and how reaching a deal amicably brings about a tremendous sense of relief. I am also a trained workplace investigator, and can assist in investigating a variety of complex matters. It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Contractual

Contractual disputes leave parties angry and frustrated, especially when reasoning is clouded by emotions. I can often assist counsel by providing both parties that ‘reality check.’ Rarely does anyone ‘win’ in litigation, but a settlement at mediation can leave both parties walking away with more than what they entered with.

Personal Injury

In personal injury disputes a little patience and understanding can go a long way. While both sides may come in set firmly in their positions, I explain to them that resolving at mediation can save everybody time, money, and stress. I work to find the common ground, and help parties realize the benefits of a negotiated settlement.

Patient Care Advocacy

As a mediator on the LIHN roster and with a background in complicated dispute resolution, I am frequently called in to assist in disputes resolving patient care, such as complaints of inadequate care in long-term care facilities. These are incredibly sensitive matters that take a unique skill in order to bring about a resolution.
